That not-for-profit enterprise would be at the heart of the global economy by 2050 is the compelling vision outlined in a forthcoming book How on Earth: Flourishing in a Not-For-Profit World by 2050, co-authored by the speaker and Jennifer Hinton.

Based on a growing body of evidence that the world is shifting toward an ‘economics of enough’, this book and speaking tour offers insights into an exciting new economic model that is now sweeping to prominence after a quiet ascendency over the past decades.

The Post Growth Institute is an international group exploring and inspiring paths to global prosperity that don’t rely on economic growth. Its mission is to build and empower a broad-based global movement for identifying, inspiring and implementing new approaches to global well-being.

Professor Donnie Maclurcan is co-founder and executive director of the Post Growth Institute; Affiliate Professor of Social Science, Southern Oregon University; Distinguished Fellow, Schumacher Institute, and an Associate at the Institute for Sustainable Futures. He also led the development of the (En)Rich List, the Post Growth Challenge, and Free Money Day.

The London Regional Centre of Expertise (RCE) on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and the EfS programme of LSBU are pleased to host this event in association with the Weeks Centre for Social and Policy Research at LSBU.
